Materials for Ghillie

I have some dumb questions so I hope you dont laugh...

First, what is the canvas for on the front of the suit? and is it really important to get?

Also, could i get jute instead of burlap to make threads, or is it the same thing? If it is like 3 ply jute, is that bad or what?

I know i'm a newb but could someone help me out. Whoever made that website deserves some props because that is the most detailed descriptive thing i have ever read. Thanks for getting me this far!

yeah jute would be fine.

as far as the canvas on the front goes, i'd say its important. Its soley there to keeps u nice and comfy and depending on materials it'll water proof the front of your suit, [img]biggrin.gif[/img] also as far as what materials are used on mine i used a Nato Sleeping Roll. and just cut it up. Seem to work well.

Additional - i have found the sleeping roll idea to be some what problematic, feels like your wearing armour, and it aint very manoverable. :/ to i have changed to now. and i am using "Duck Canvas" and very tough and versitile material.

What was the Website that you went to that had a real descriptive way of doing it? i am also a newb and i was planning on getting a ghillie suit, where would be a good place to get a quality ghillie suit?
